Yes, it's true I watched Twilight. I'm one of the rare guys watching Twilight I suppose. Partly influenced by a female friend who said it's nice and partly influenced by the interesting plot of the Twilight series. I'm not here to give a synopsis of the movie though but here to write the last post while I'm in Sydney.

Today's my last day in Sydney & this is the first and the last movie I watched at a cinema in Sydney this year. Yes, just this one coz I was way too busy throughout the year. I thought it was worth watching it here becoz Msia always removes certain scenes in movies deemed "inappropriate" to be viewed by Msian community. What a shame.

I strongly recommend people to watch Twilight. It's quite interesting really. Not a waste of time at all. Interestingly, I watched this last series with the friend who recommended me to watch Twilight. And it's my 1st time going for a movie with a girl. Another interesting fact in my life after 23 years haha.

I'm back again! As you can see from the title itself, this post is nothing else but about my food hunt again! A friend of mine, a suizhabo (pretty girl in Hokkien dialect) *she self-acclaimed this* recommended this little cafe to me. It's a cafe which belongs to the sister of this suizabo's friend. So, u kinda get the link right?

This cafe is located at Oxford Street, Paddington which is pretty far away from where I stay. It took me prolly 35-40 mins to reach this place including walking time? When you know there's a good place for coffee/breakfast, you would go the extra mile won't u?! Gotta love that name "Not Just Coffee" & the logo! Very well designed.

It wasn't that hard to spot this little cafe although it's situated in a hidden laneway in Paddington. And look! The dalmation wall art outside the cafe! Anything about dog excites me really, haha.

What's so special with this cafe is the kind of homey feeling you get with its courtyard garden. And I have to say they are quite creative by turning the wooden crates into stools. And you can just sit wherever you want, on the stools/chairs/stairs.

TaDaA! My little cup of hot dark chocolate. Its name is "Out of this World Hot Chocolate". What a name & that rich cup of chocolate drink is truly out of this world =D. See how they used that little laboratory flask? Just a proof that this equipment is not only restricted for lab use!

Are you drooling yet?! One does not simply look at a food pic & not drool !! This is called "Ocean Spirit Benedict with Ham, Spinach, Poached Eggs & Cheesy English Muffin". It was supposed to be salmon instead of ham but they ran out of salmon grrrr. A bit pricy but worth every penny! Fresh ingredients & great balance of taste yums!

Oh yaa! Forgot to mention that it was a pleasure to meet the owner of this cafe, Kit! After I've finished my brekkie, she came by to my table & sat down to chat with me. Btw, she's also a M'sian =) She asked how I found out about this cafe & I told her my fren who knows her bro told me about this. She asked me "who's your friend? may i know the name? so i can tell my bro about this". And yes i told her my friend's name is VIVIAN! *hello vivian yap, if u r reading this post, now everyone knows u call urself suizhabo*

A very nice cafe indeed. Delicious food, friendly people, unique cafe.. Truly Not Just Coffee. Highly recommended! For more info about this cafe, check out their fb page! Here's the link:

Ops..i guess this post is a little too late >.< gotta admit i was a bit busy in the past 2 weeks & i'm still busy now! but anyway since it's saturday, you always have an excuse to slack off a little =D. So, unlike the previous posts where I discovered markets & park, this time I went to somewhere closer to city. As the title suggests, yes it is a chocolate boutique / cafe.

The outside view of Bon Bon Fine Chocolate. It has two floors, this one is the upper floor which sells heaps of good & delicious but EXPENSIVE chocolates!

And the cafe is uniquely located underground. (A snapshot of the counter... and.... the waitress =X)

The interior of the cafe is really attractive with its vintage decor =)

The wallpapers with the many definitions of chocolates.

My Espresso... very tiny glass indeed coz u don't need much! Otherwise you'll stay awake all night O.O

And accompanied but a scoop of Vanilla ice cream toppled with rich Java chocolate sauce! yums! So, for anyone who doesn't know especially non-coffee lover, an espresso + ice cream = Affogato! (sounds like Avocado haha)

I'm not sure when was this chocolate boutique/cafe opened. I've walked past it a couple of times but have never made an attempt to walk in. Glad that I finally did! =D

Aweeeesomeeee! What a word to start off this post..haha. That's exactly my reaction when I discovered Centennial Park last week. Yes, that's rite..it was last week but I decided not to post the pics until this week =P. Frankly, I think there is definitely a history behind this huge & beautiful park but I haven't had the chance to read up on them. Will do it by this yr end when I'm all done with my honours thesis! So as usual, I think my pics are best at explaining my experience at this wonderful park =)

Ermm..a rare sight of horses?? haha

A bald tree in the park. But spring's coming & the flowers will start to blossom soon!

No idea what's this but each of them has a different word though like "love", "friendship", "wind", "our" etc etc..

Quite a unique tree! Where's the tree trunk & branches???

Just way too many BIG trees in this park!!

Love the big field. I would love to play football here! I was actually trying to take a pic of the ducks but as you can seeeeee...they ran away! =_=

A really great spot for picnic!

And I met a friend here, who's willing to let me take a pic of him/her haha

Three siblings? or 3 best friends? Triangle love perhaps! XD

Mini bush-walking site???

How beautiful is this T.T in the middle of the pond.

A snapshot of sunset =D

The Duck Pond! So many ducks there! And some black swans too! Ermm..that partically-white colour bird..what's that??

AND finally, of course I must not forget my FA (foreveralone) picture with the big trees as background..haha. This park is really huge that one can not possibly walk the whole park under 2 hours! By far, this is the best park I've visited. Would be nice if I could come bac here again someday. Maybe for a wedding photoshoot? =P *p/s: i saw a couple having their wedding photoshoot in the park!*

Last week I paid a visit to The Rocks Foodies Market. As the title suggests, this week it's Paddington Markets! More than 3 yrs here in Sydney & i've never been there..ahh, what a shame >,< Since I've never been there before, I looked up the internet for bus/train information but somehow, that "research" proved futile...*in the beginning at least*..coz I took the wrong bus =.= & ended up in this place! *who in the world would take a wrong bus & ended up in a beautiful place like this?! =D*

Bondi Beach, Sydney.

But fret not..coz it's not easy to get lost in Sydney as long as you have a ticket & a mouth to ask the friendly people here =D Hence I finally made my way to Paddington Markets...

Paddington Market. Saturdays only!
Nice market indeed. A myriad of stalls selling different & unique things ranging from clothes, pictures, collectibles, handicrafts & even "magical items"! I met a fake "magician" who was selling some poker cards & other items for $60. Those items are the so-called "magical items" that can be used to trick people without them realising! Too bad they're expensive, otherwise I wud've bought it.

Not too many people though. Prolly that's coz it was already late.

Finally, my food sense brought me to a belgian waffle stall! what else? HUNGER GAME BEGINS!. $3 for each of those. Additional $2 for fruity toppings.

Mine's ready! That lady was so nice. She gave me extra kiwis & bananas! *compare that with the sample in previous pic!* lovely lady <3. And of course, a cup of latte to complement the waffle.

Latte with no latte art on top! Coz it's a take-away zzZ

So yeah, didn't take as many pictures from the market as I thought I would coz I was too engrossed with the things at the market, mainly food though haha. Happy that I finally visited Paddington's Market!

Up next . . . . .

Centennial Park !!!

The weather yesterday was awesome. Sunny & windy, yet not too hot not too cold. In the morning, I went to uni to meet up with my project supervisor to clarify some things. It took me only an hour though. Happy to hear that supervisor was really impressed by my progress. So, I thought since I've worked really hard on data collection the whole week, maybe I should procrastinate a little bit & take a day off? haha. So, the next question is: "What should i do? or rather where should i go?" Let my pictures below explain them =D

From Central Station, I took a train directly to Circular Quay. Once I stepped out of the train, what an amazing view right in front of me. The Sydney Harbour Bridge!

And this guy (can't rmbr his name) is still there with his paintings! I wonder how long has he been painting as I've already seen him there 2-3 weeks ago when I brought my sis to Circular Quay. Last time i donated $2 to him. This time discounted to 50cents, haha.

Enough of Circular Quay..that isn't the place that I wanted to visit. In fact, The Rocks Foodies Market is my actual destination!

Foodies Market =D Plenty of food choices from German, Italian to Korean & Japanese! Lowenbrau even has their own stall out there although their shop was just nearby!

Pretzel! A unique knot-like shape pastry. The 1st bite tasted quite ordinary...but then the 2nd,3rd,4th bite made me feel that it's actually quite tasty. =)

Walked into Lowenbrau & grabbed a cup of long black for only $2! What could be a better way to enjoy the beautiful weather than with a cup of hot coffee =D

Then i discovered The Rocks Discovery Museum. Free entry? =)

Oh yes, I even had a cupcake from one of the stalls in Foodies Market! Soft & delicious =D So, only pretzel, cupcake & coffee for lunch? A rather light lunch but that's enough! *i'm on diet haha*

After lunch at The Rocks, I walked around the city nearby Circular Quay. Took a pic of this beautiful dunno-what-building.

Unique structure outside the Museum.
More than 3 yrs here & I just noticed this museum =X

I didn't enter the museum though coz admission fee applies! =P So, I walked into Dymocks bookstore and browsed through a couple of Korean language books. Learned a couple of new Korean sentences. Must be wondering why am I learning this language huh? It's becoz I intend to visit South Korea next yr! haha.

Finally, I decided to go back. As I walked back to Circular Quay station, a young lady walked up to me & gave me a daffodil (a type of flower). Oh yea..forget to mention that y'day was Daffodil day, a fundraising event by the Cancer Council. The flowers were initially meant for sale but I think they gave it away for free in the end. So, I decided to make a small donation instead. To my surprise, the lady then gave me a bunch of daffodil as a token of appreciation O__O

Grabbed this pic from google..haha I forgot to take a pic of those I received.
BIG QUESTION MARK. WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THE FLOWERS ?!?! And I thought a girl would appreciate flowers more than I do. So, I gave them away to a lucky girl in the most unromantic way..haha. I hope she likes it.

By the way, donating for the daffodil day wasn't my only donation yesterday. In the train station, I met an elderly lady who was begging for money. I felt sympathetic towards her & gave her the remaining coins in my pocket. Upon reaching home, I took a nap & at night, I went out again to Chinatown's Night Market which is only available on Fridays! The Night Market offers variety of asian food to satisfy my hungry tummy. I got myself some dim sims, egg tarts, takoyaki & korean spicy pork bulgogi...yums!

All in all, I can say yesterday was really a good day for me. I put aside my work temporarily & be a tourist for a day. It was a great way to relax & enjoy life in the midst of my "crazy" research.

NEXT WEEK.........

PADDINGTON MARKET!
